Our Story

Founded on Bisle Ghat Road, in 2023

The Auraa began with a simple brief from the Amrutha family: build something that felt like it grew out of the hillside, rather than one dropped onto it. The result sits low against the slope in Mankanalli, Kudrasthe — stone, timber and thatch, framed by silver oak and coffee shade trees that were here long before we were.

Every arch in the resort — from the entrance gate to our room doorways — nods to the same idea captured in our mark: a threshold between the everyday and the wild, unhurried world of the valley beyond it.

We are a small, family-run property. There is no vast lobby or conference wing — just enough rooms that the person checking you in also remembers your name at breakfast.

Renewal

Forest green — the canopy this resort was built to protect.

Simplicity

Cream — uncluttered rooms, honest materials, quiet corners.

Warmth

Brass — hospitality that never feels distant.

We didn't want guests to feel like they were visiting nature. We wanted them to feel like they belonged to it, even for three nights.

P. Venkateshwara Rao — Managing Director, The Auraa
